Cairn Toul at 1291 meters is the fourth highest mountain in Scotland, surpassed only by Ben Nevis, Ben Macdui and Braeriach. It is the second highest point in the western massif of the Cairngorms. The mountain towers above the Western side pass of the Lairig Ghru and rises out from its foothills alongside the River Dee. The Devil's Point is a rugged little mountain attached to the southern end of the vast Cairn Toul and Braeriach plateau.
