Y LLIWEDD

PLEASE SELECT

Y Lliwedd is a mountain which adjoins the Snowdon massif with a summit height of 898m and is often neglected on the majority of walkers who in their exuberance to reach the summit of Snowdon forget that their excitement can be extended by Snowdon along its western flank and onto mountain ridge of Y Lliwedd . The days outing will be further rewarded by some great views of Snowdon and the Miners track and Llyn Llydaw below. On the eastern side of the mountaintop are some sharp and precipitous cliffs which were the training ground of George Mallory and the 1953 British Everest Expedition.
