LINGMOOR FELL-WAINWRIGHT COLLECTION
A Wainwright is the summit of what Alfred Wainwright (1907-1991) thought were true Cumbrian fell tops. There are a total of 214 ‘Wainwrights’ which have over the years become a very popular pastime for all the many Wainwright Baggers.
Lingmoor Fell is a rather fine little fell at 470m with its summit reached by a steep and craggy climb which is rewarded with exceptional views upon reaching its summit of the Langdale Pikes, Bowfell and Coniston.
