KILIMANJARO

Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and has three dormant volcanic cones known as Kibo, Mawenzi and Shira and forms part of the Kilimanjaro National Park. Each year thousands of walkers and climbers flock to Kilimanjaro with the sole aspiration to summit and stand on what has become known as the Roof of Africa. Its popularity is enhanced by the fact it requires no technical climbing skills to summit, but nevertheless does require a considerable long acclimatizing trek to reach its 5895m summit.  Accessible from various routes of different duration and difficulty namely, Lemosho , Machame ,  Marangu ,  Rongai, Shira and Umbwe routes and the Northern Circuit. Aspiring trekkers should check out the routes to determine which one suits their level of fitness and expertise.
