Elidir Fawr at a height of 923m is the northern most peak in the Glyderau . To the north of the summit is a small lake known as Marchlyn Mawr which is the upper reservoir or the nearby Dinorwig power station which is facilitated by apump storage power station hidden inside the mountain. Water from this lake flows through huge tunnels into the lower reservoir Llyn Persi
