CAIRNGORMS
The Cairngorms are a mountain range in the eastern Highlands of Scotland closely associated with the mountain of the Cairn Gorm which has a height of 1245 meters which makes it the sixth-highest mountain in the United Kingdom. It has given its name to the whole range, although these hills were historically known as Am Monadh Ruadh rather than its collective “The Cairngorms”. The range is famous for being the very first mountain ski resort in the UK and its nearby town Aviemore is a very popular resort for skiers and snowboarders during the winter months.
